Do you want to enrol your child into a reputable recreational centre? You've come to the right place. In addition to recreational facilities, we also have party venues for corporate events, weddings and children's parties.
The initial phase of development
The chapel we bought was in a dilapidated condition. The cement was falling off the walls and the roof was damaged, letting water in. We are thankful to those parents and staff members who took time in the evenings and helped in renovating the building. They knocked out the old grouting and repointed the walls too. In addition to thi s, we also secured capital grants in recognition to the excellent activities we provided to the community!
Our story
It would be wrong to say that we are not grant funded. We have had grants in the past to help renovate our building. Currently, the regular expenses are over £5,000 a month with utility bills, the mortgage, and public liability insurance being the biggest costs. The funds generated from Venue 1 are also used to sustain Kidz R Us.
Where do we stand now?
Our growth has remained constant and we now have 500 children per week using our premises. We offer a range of recreational and fun activities to our children inside our premises. Some of our students who are over 12 years of age are trained to teach other students, thereby honing their own skills as well.
We are proud to say that we are one of the seven centres in Wales, who have won the prestigious Sports Leaders Teaching Certificate.
What do we do and offer?
We teach all the skills needed for an all-round performance. Our children have performed all over the country and abroad. We also run numerous social clubs. We train our own teachers; most of whom went to stage schools or universities to study further within the teaching profession or performing arts. We support the government by training people who are unemployed, teaching them skills and instilling in them the confidence to re-enter employment.
